By configuring 2FA, you ensure that you&#8217;re the only person who can access your account, as its stack-up with your password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GloboTech Communications Customer Portal allow you to manage your resources, such as your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globo.tech\/dedicated-server-hosting\">Dedicated Servers<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globo.tech\/cloud-server-pricing\">VPS Cloud Servers<\/a>, RDNS, Credit Card details and so on. Theses are all good reason why you have to use 2FA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prerequisites<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Android version 2.1 or later or;<\/li><li> iPhone 3G or later with the latest operating system for your device <\/li><li>Google Authenticator for <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/accounts\/answer\/1066447?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&amp;hl=en&amp;oco=0\">Android<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/accounts\/answer\/1066447?co=GENIE.Platform%3DiOS&amp;hl=en&amp;oco=0\">Apple iOS<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How it works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With two-factor authentication, your account can only be accessed by entering the Google Authenticator code generated every 30 seconds. When you want to sign in, you&#8217;ll need to provide two information; your password and the six-digit verification code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because not only your password, but also the six-digit verification code is required at each sign-in, 2FA dramatically improves the security of your Globo.Tech Customer Portal access&nbsp;and all the personal information stored into your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to enable Two-Factor Authentication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enabling the Two-Factor Authentication trough your customer portal is very easy. Let&#8217;s start!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1<\/strong> &#8211; To enable 2FA, first log to your <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.globo.tech\/\">Customer Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 2 &#8211;<\/strong> After you logged to your Customer Portal, click on <strong>Account information<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globo.tech\/learning-center\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Account-Information-1.png\" alt=\"GloboTech Communication Customer Portal Welcome home page.\" class=\"wp-image-4970\" width=\"763\" height=\"453\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 3 &#8211;<\/strong> Then, you must click on <strong>Security &amp; Privacy<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globo.tech\/learning-center\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Account-Information2-1.png\" alt=\"Into GloboTech Communication Customer Portal, click on Security &amp; Privacy to enable Two-Factor Authentication.\" class=\"wp-image-4971\" width=\"356\" height=\"228\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 4 &#8211;<\/strong> On the next page, you will see the following. You must click on &#8220;<strong>Activate 2FA<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globo.tech\/learning-center\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2FA.png\" alt=\"Click Activate 2FA to go through the process.\" class=\"wp-image-4972\" width=\"294\" height=\"202\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 5 &#8211;<\/strong> Now it&#8217;s time to <strong>scan the QR code<\/strong> with your phone. You will need to use Google Authenticator to do so. Once scanned, you will need to <strong>enter a  six-digit verification code<\/strong> and then click on &#8220;<strong>Confirm 2FA code<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globo.tech\/learning-center\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Scan-QR-Code.png\" alt=\"Scan the QR code using Google Authenticator and then enter a six-digits code to complete the 2FA activation.\" class=\"wp-image-4980\" width=\"360\" height=\"351\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 5.1 &#8211;<\/strong>  Upon activating your 2FA please make sure to <strong>keep <\/strong>the <strong>recovery key<\/strong> in a safe place. If you fail to do so and lose your phone or can&#8217;t open it anymore you won&#8217;t be able to regenerate your 2FA keys. Your access will therefore be lost and a manual reset of the 2FA on your account will have to be performed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 6 &#8211;<\/strong>  Upon completion you will be redirected back to a previous page and will see a notification informing you that 2FA has been enabled along with the timestamp of the activation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globo.tech\/learning-center\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2FA-Success.png\" alt=\"2FA activation completed\" class=\"wp-image-4974\" width=\"404\" height=\"281\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By following all theses steps, you have successfully configured  two-factor authentication for your Globo.Tech Customer Portal access.
